Helping Bring Practical Science to More Children

Humanity Gives is proud to support ABC Science, a new project beginning in the Midlands with ambitions to reach primary schools across the UK.

Every child deserves the opportunity to experience the excitement and possibilities of science, regardless of their background, gender or family income.

ABC Science helps primary schools deliver engaging, practical science by providing teachers with the training, equipment and resources they need to bring lessons to life.

Inspiring More Young People

The project has a particular focus on inspiring girls and children from disadvantaged backgrounds, helping more young people discover an interest in science and see the opportunities it could create for their future.

Through practical experiments and investigative learning, children are encouraged to ask questions, test ideas, make discoveries and think like scientists.

A Huge Impact for Just 36p

That works out at £3,088.90 per school, approximately £11.36 per estimated pupil and £16.74 per FSM-eligible pupil in the identified top-100 cohort. Based on at least 32 science lessons per pupil per year, this is approximately 36p per pupil, per lesson.

For around the cost of a small snack, a child could experience practical and inspiring science lessons that spark their curiosity, build their confidence and change how they see their future.
Crucially, much of the investment creates reusable capacity that remains in schools beyond the grant year.

Help Us Inspire the Next Generation

Together, Humanity Gives and ABC Science can help bring exceptional science experiences to thousands of children who might otherwise miss out.
